Lemle & Wolff is seeking an experienced Project Director – Affordable Housing Preservation & Capital Transactions to lead preservation, refinancing, recapitalization, rehabilitation, and strategic repositioning initiatives across the company’s existing portfolio of 3,000+ affordable housing units throughout New York City.
The Project Director will develop and implement strategies that preserve long-term affordability, strengthen financial and physical performance, and address the portfolio’s capital and regulatory needs. The role will assess individual properties and multi-asset opportunities involving strategic acquisition, refinancing, recapitalization, rehabilitation, disposition, joint ventures, and other ownership or financing structures.
The ideal candidate is a transaction-oriented affordable housing professional with strong underwriting, negotiation, structuring, presentation, and project management capabilities. They will be able to assess large portfolios, distinguish between preservation, refinancing, recapitalization, rehabilitation, disposition, and partnership opportunities, and develop practical strategies for both individual assets and multiproperty executions.
Job Schedule: Full-time
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 commensurate with experience
