The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is the nation’s largest municipal housing preservation and development agency with a mission is to promote quality housing and diverse, thriving neighborhoods for New Yorkers. Situated within HPD’s Office of Policy & Strategy (OPS), the Credit & Special Underwriting Unit is responsible for ensuring that all projects receiving City capital subsidy or discretionary tax benefits are reviewed for financial integrity, appropriate levels of assistance, and conformance with agency policies.
