Please join WHF for a discussion about the challenges of retail/CSF leasing in the emerging markets of historically underserved NYC communities. Commercial vacancies are on the rise throughout NYC. Developers and landlords prefer to bring in brand name, credit tenants. Local communities prefer filling empty storefronts with small and local businesses. These are the practical realities that complicate retail/CSF leasing in historically underserved neighborhoods.
The speakers are:
Christina Warner is the Vice President of Commercial Leasing at L+M Development Partners. Since 2007, Christina has led the retail leasing efforts at L+M-owned buildings and in ventures throughout New York City, New Jersey and New Orleans, focusing on bringing goods and services to underserved areas.
Chiara Passerini is the resident researcher at Urbane Development, which is part of the joint-venture team redeveloping the Flatbush Caton Market site. Chiara’s work focuses on how people’s values, relationships and behaviors have ramifications on the urban environment.
Thank you to L&M Development Partners for hosting this event! A light lunch will be served.
