Housing Rehabilitation and Construction Project Manager, MAHNY

Project Manager, Neighborhood Restore

Neighborhood Restore’s affiliate entity, Preserving City Neighborhoods HDFC (“Preserving City Neighborhoods”) is working in collaboration with a unique set of partners supported by HPD to oversee the Community Restoration Fund (“CRF”) Program. The CRF Program acquires overleveraged mortgage notes for the purpose of repositioning and preserving distressed or at‐risk distressed housing in New York City.

Responsibilities
* Work closely with HPD, community partners, and loan servicing organization to review loss mitigation workout proposals for homeowners. Present proposals to Credit Committee and monitor progress of loss mitigation resolutions.

*Prepare management reports to track status of loss mitigation activities for homeowners in portfolio.

*Maintain compliance with all programmatic and funding reporting requirements.

*Prepare and submit requisitions to credit facility lenders to fund program expenses including acquisitions, carrying costs, and rehabilitation.

*Perform property and legal due diligence for future acquisitions of properties by liaising with lenders, servicers, attorneys, and title companies.

Director of Programs, Neighborhood Restore

Deputy Commissioner for Development, NYC HPD

The Deputy Commissioner will work in close coordination with other offices and divisions within HPD, and in partnership with the New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC), the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), New York City Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and other City, federal, and state agencies on policy matters, funding programs, budgeting, Requests for Proposals, pre-development, and co-financing for such projects.

The Deputy Commissioner will have responsibility for managing engagement and negotiations with developers, lenders, and other development partners from the private and non-profit sectors. The Deputy Commissioner will also contribute to and at times lead development of agency strategy and public policy on such topics as new financing models for broadening and deepening affordability, housing the formerly homeless, supporting affordable home ownership, and expanding the City’s support of mixed-use, mixed-income projects.
