Affordable Housing, Community Development and/or Public Finance Attorney, NYC-Based Real Estate Law Firm

One of New York City’s leading commercial real estate law firms (the “Firm”), is looking to build a first-class Affordable Housing, Community Development and Public Finance Practice to complement its “Pure Play” in Real Estate. The firm is seeking to hire one or more candidate(s) with extensive experience in representing New York City and nationally-based real estate developers, owners, operators and/or lenders in the structuring and financing of affordable housing and other community-based development projects. Knowledge and experience of federal, state and local incentive programs and regulatory landscape (including LIHTC, Section 8, NMTC, and tax-exempt bond financing, among others) is a must. The ideal candidate(s) would also have experience representing and/or negotiating opposite governmental and semi-governmental organizations, as well as working with non-profits in the space. The Firm is open to hiring at the partner, counsel and associate level(s) and is flexible in discussing compensation commensurate with experience and portable books of business.

This is an opportunity to build a practice from the ground-up and work with skilled professionals in the Firm’s complementary practice areas, including NYC Real Estate Tax and Incentives, Opportunity Zones, Tax, Tax Exempt Organizations, Land Use, Strategic Non-Profit, Finance and Corporate Real Estate/Joint Ventures.
